Merging the Shop and Blog

Emmett’s Expeditions shop and blog are merging. They can now all be found in one place: I’m slowly moving our articles and resources to the new site. Thank you for your patience during this transition. If you have any questions you can contact me at

  • This weekโ€™s Polar Bear prompt for the #GoExploreChallenge is Create. So Emmett and I are making Polar Bear Valentines!
What Polar Bear creation is your expedition family working on?
  • What games does your family play on outdoor adventures?
Emmett loves to play Pokรฉmon Go on our hikes. It keeps him interested on the longer trails and itโ€™s a good way to set challenges on distance and finding new parks to explore. .

  • Throwback Thursday
2013 - 2017 When my business was called The Pinecones Grove I had these t-shirt designs in my shop.

  • Save your cereal and food boxes. We have lots of recycled crafts coming up that you can do too!
  • Emmett loves to bake and cook. Yesterday, Emmett wanted to make cinnamon muffins. So he did. #ChildLedLearning rocks!
  • Did you know I make affordable small business logos?
Swipe to see the logo design I made for @meganbreedenphotography .
I know how impossible it can be to pay high dollar for a logo when you are starting a business. My logo design packages give you an affordable logo so you can support your family with a job you love.
  • Have you heard about the Pedal for Polar Bears Challenge?
Itโ€™s a challenge by Polar Bears International (PBI) that encourages everyone to have fun, exercise, cut back on carbon emissions, and ultimately help polar bears and their habitats. (Make sure you ride your bike safely. PBI has a great download on their site for this.)
1 Week Math Activity:
โ€ข Keep track of your biking miles for 1 week.
โ€ข Find out how many miles per gallon your familyโ€™s vehicle gets on average.
โ€ข Calculate how many gallons of gas you saved while riding your bike. โ€ข For every gallon you saved, you cut back on 20lbs of CO2!
  • This week we are focusing on Polar Bear books. The first one on our list is Polar Bears and Penguins: A Compare and Contrast Book by Katharine Hall. .
What Polar Bear books are you reading in honor of International Polar Bear Day?
