My Favorite 2017 Disney Holiday Photos
This holiday season my family vacationed in Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. As always the trip was magical. I’ve already shared some photos on my Instagram, however I wanted to share ten of my favorite camera captured moments of our vacation here as well. There are many many more pictures I love from this trip, but I will save those for photo books and boxes at home.

DAY 2
Mickey Red Velvet Cupcake

The cupcakes at the Hollywood & Vine Character Lunch were too adorable not to take a picture of.

DAY 3
Climbing Pandora
Waiting in line for Pandora’s Avatar Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom we saw a lot of cool plants and décor. Emmett posed for this mock rock climbing photo. We were in line for about 4 hours due to technical difficulties. Still, the ride was worth the wait and all the “nature” was really cool. I also loved the lab. Unfortunately the lighting in there did not produce great photos.
DAY 3
Pandora Plant Life
On our way out of Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom we spotted this cool bit of Mo’ara botany.

DAY 6
Canoeing with Grandpa
One of our favorite parts of staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground is the canoeing. Unfortunately I didn’t get around to it this visit. I did however get to capture this photo of Emmett canoeing with my dad as they passed our campsite. They both had a great time and Emmett was tuckered out from rowing by the end.
DAY 3
The Tiniest Marshmallow of the Bunch
We went to the Contemporary to have Chef Mickey’s for breakfast. Emmett found the tiniest marshmallow in the waffle toppings and asked me to take a picture of it. The focus turned out really nice on this one. I almost feel like a pro food photographer. Ha!
DAY 3
Lovely Bird Feathers
On our way back to the campground from Chef Mickeys, I photographed this bird at the dock. Very photogenic! And those feathers!
Magic Kingdom
CHRISTMAS DAY
Fireworks at the Castle
We had a spectacular view of the fireworks from the boat & as we entered the park. Then we watched the Once Upon a Time show right in front of the castle that finished with even more fireworks. Best way to finish Christmas!
DAY 7
Disney Haircut
Emmett got his hair cut in Disney at the Barbershop on Main Street in Magic Kingdom! It was really awesome to find out the Barbershop on Main Street U.S.A. is a real barber shop! Before (ABOVE) & After (BELOW) pictures.
DAY 7
Exploring Tom Sawyer Island
In all the years we have been to Disney World, I’ve never noticed Tom Sawyer Island. I have to say, I absolutely love it and I can’t wait to go there again. We went twice this vacation and discovered new things we hadn’t noticed the day before.
Click or Not to Click?
Taking pictures is like finding a balance of capturing memories and making them. I don’t want photo taking to take the fun out of the moment, nor do I want to miss documenting a moment I never want to forget. Alas, there will be moments I miss taking a perfect camera shot of and there will be moments Emmett gets annoyed with me for taking a photo when he just feels like running around.
Do you think you take too many photos, not enough, or just the right amount?
what do you think?
